Singapore Nov bank lending up 0.5% from Oct

Total bank lending in Singapore rose 0.5 percent in November from October.

According to the Monetary Authority of Singapore or MAS, loans and advances by domestic banks amounted to $481.7 billion last month. 

That's up from the $479 billion in October. 

Meanwhile on a year-on-year basis, November bank lending rose 16 percent. 

Loans and advances in Asian currency units edged up to $385.1 billion in November from $381.4 billion in October. 

The Asian currency units market refers to loans denominated in currencies other than the Singapore dollar.
