The Singapore Swimming Association's Technical Director and Head Coach Ian Turner has revealed that he's suffering from cancer and is undergoing treatment.
The 61 year-old was diagnosed with tonsillitis cancer last October, just a month after being appointed by the SSA.
Turner is scheduled to have 33 bouts of radiation and 3 chemotherapy sessions by the end of the year.
But he's been responding well to treatment and plans to continue in his role, saying that it will be "business as usual."
