MP for Tampinese GRC Irene Ng has said she is concerned about the sky-high prices of recent launches of Executive Condominiums in Tampines.
In her latest facebook post, she said she has filed a question for the next Parliament sitting.
She said in will ask the Minister for National Development whether the recent prices of the Executive Condominiums, including a penthouse which eclipsed the 2 million dollar mark, subverts the purpose of the Government-subsidised EC housing to cater to the "sandwiched class".
She will also ask if tighter measures should be put in place to regulate the EC market such as a clause in the EC contract to prevent developers from building large penthouses and over-pricing units.
Parliament next sitting will be on the 14th of this month.
