Caretaker MP Teo Ser Luck at first MPS in Punggol East
Caretaker MP for Punggol East Teo Ser Luck says the People's Action Party must be ready if a by-election is called.
He was commenting on recent reports of party activists in the ward buying plywood for election posters - which he declined to confirm.
Mr Teo was speaking to reporters before his first Meet-The-People Session in Punggol East.
He said residents' responses to him so far have been encouraging with some even asking him to stand for election in the ward.
But he says juggling two wards makes a tight challenge for time.
Mr Teo was also seen introducing a new face, Dr Koh Poh Koon, to residents.
When asked, he said Dr Koh is a personal friend who was helping him out with the Meet-the-People Sessions.
