This morning, PM Lee had said that when Dr Koh is ready and judged ready, he will be appointing him to a suitable political office.
Mr Lee, however, said Dr Koh's first priority is to fight and win the by-election as well as the trust of the residents and to be a good Member of Parliament in Punggol East.
Dr Koh also said it is important to engage the youth especially and to tap into their idealism and energy.
He suggested having facilities in Punggol East for youth to congregate and to engage them in activities.
