Indian Beat

Vasantham introduced Thaalam - Indian Beat a 30 minute programme to feature various activities and events of all the sub-ethnic groups within the Indian community. The programme was initiated to create greater awareness, inform and educate on the happenings in the Indian community so as to foster greater community spirit and national identity. Focusing on social messaging and community relations, Indian Beat has thus far reached thousands of households. The key focus of the programme which is social messaging and community relations has been well appreciated and embraced by the various Indian organizations in Singapore (Both Tamil and Non-Tamil).

In this week's episode:
Indian beat this week will include a visit to a mosque at Bencoolen road to discover more about the significance of fasting. A cricket match at the Balestier Grounds held on 9th, 11th and 12th August that spurred great enthusiasm among men, both young and old.
